Course Summary

This online Short Course forms part of the Partnering Essentials™ partnering skills program designed by DIXON Partnering Solutions. You can enrol in this course individually or in combination with other short courses to form part of the Partnering Essentials™ Course.

The focus of each course is on a specific topic related to cross sector partnering. The Partnering Essentials™ Course (10 courses) is equivalent to the 2-day face-to-face program delivered by DIXON Partnering Solutions and on successful completion will enable the candidate to proceed to undertake the Certificate in Cross Sector Partnering.

This course, The Developing Stage of Partnering, explores the developing stage of cross sector partnering in more detail and focuses on how to get your partnership working effectively and delivering results. In the developing phase, all the partners should be actively engaged in the partnering process and a partnering agreement that is suitable for your project should be completed.

You will also explore two key aspects of the developing stage in more detail, namely governance and communication.

Learning Outcomes: 

1. Identify the key activities of the developing stage of a cross sector partnering process: map, manage and build
2. Apply mind-mapping to help partners move collaboratively from conceptual ideas to actions and reality
3. Describe how to cement partners in their commitments to resources and contributions by using a resource matrix
4. Describe how to assess what governance and processes are needed and how to establish effective communication protocols.
