Course Summary:
This online Short Course explores a number of different sub-groups within the community that have complex and unique health care needs that make them disadvantaged and vulnerable.
Learning Outcomes:
- Explore the relationship between disadvantaged and vulnerable groups in the community and the social determinants of health
- Recognise the effects of social stigma and self-stigma on health and wellbeing
- Identify the barriers and enablers for accessing health care for a number of diverse community groups that are considered marginalised in society
- Identify approaches to working inclusively with people who are vulnerable, disadvantaged and stigmatised.
