Course Summary:
This online Short Course introduces the healthcare needs of overseas-born peoples and the newer members of Australia’s multicultural landscape.
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify social and health-related issues for migrant populations from historical and current perspectives in the Australian context
- Recognise the barriers faced by migrant populations to health care services
- Identify a number of Government policies aimed at responding to the social and health care needs of overseas-born peoples
- Recognise the health-related issues for migrants of planned migration and asylum seekers.
