Toolkit Summary:

This toolkit will reinforce your clinical knowledge and skills by participating in a series of self-directed online learning modules. The online learning modules are designed to assist you in revising your theoretical knowledge and the most recent evidence related to assessment and treatment of Child Speech, Child Language, Adult Speech and Multimodal Communication. Application of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health framework (ICF) will also be required. 

Learning Outcomes:  

  1. Create an assessment plan that demonstrates critical evaluation and synthesis of information sources and factors affecting communication performance
  2. Conduct and justify a choice of assessment according to recent evidence
  3. Analyse and interpret assessment information to provide appropriate feedback to a client
  4. Design a holistic, evidence-based treatment plan that demonstrates consideration of client priorities
  5. Demonstrate effective therapy skills and techniques
  6. Explain your reasoning and decision-making process in your approach to case management
  7. Engage in reflective thinking to critically appraise your professional competencies within speech pathology practice.
