Course Summary:

This online Short Course provides health and fitness professionals a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of orientation and pre-screening in the commencement of a fitness program. The course will review fitness testing techniques which may be used to assess a client's level of fitness strength, flexibility and/or event/program preparedness.

Learning Outcomes:  

    1. Understand the legal responsibilities and professional roles of health and fitness professionals
    2. Reflect on the use of the Adult Pre-Exercise Screening System (APSS) in the fitness setting
    3. Analyse the range of fitness testing methods they apply to a range of fitness levels and program requirements to assess baseline, progress and reach goals of the client.

        Undertaking this course enables students to meet their Continuing Professional Development obligations and industry update requirements in their profession. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded 4 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours and a CQUniversity Certificate of Completion.

        If you are a Registered Exercise Professionals with Fitness Australia as a Group Exercise/Gym Instructor or greater, you will also be eligible to attain Fitness Australia CECs on the completion of this course.
