Course Summary:

In every formal essay, presentation or report you create, there is an expectation that your work will contain what is known as an academic ‘argument’. This online Short Course provides an overview of the academic argument, its purpose, and construction.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify the key elements of an academic argument
  2. Recognise the appropriate application of an argument
  3. Outline the basic construction of the formal argument.
